Indians are now breathing easier as coronavirus cases decline but here is worry..
A recent study by a team of IIT Kanpur scientists estimates that India will likely see the next COVID wave in mid to late June, with the surge lasting roughly three months. The severity of the fourth COVID wave will be determined by a number of criteria, including the type of the variation and vaccination coverage across the country, according to the report.
The severity of the impact will be determined by many aspects such as infectivity, lethality, and so on, according to the authors. Apart from this, the effect of immunizations – first, second, or booster dose – may also have a substantial impact on the likelihood of infection, the severity of infection, and other concerns associated to the fourth wave, they stated.
