In Memoriam: Mukhtar Ahmad Turkee

In a somber tribute, Shaharbeen Times mourns the passing of Mukhtar Ahmad Turkee, a retired Doordarshan employee and the brother of former station incharge, Kouser Parveen. Mr. Turki, who departed last week, was remembered as a thorough gentleman.

Today, Sheikh Imtiyaz, the editor of Shaharbeen Times, accompanied by his elder brother, S. A. Hamid patron of Shaharbeen Times, visited the bereaved family’s home to express their condolences. It is noteworthy that Shaharbeen Times shares close ties with the Parveen family.
