Puducherry LG recalls administrative experience with Prime Minister Modi while interacting with Kashmiri journalists
Puducherry, September 16, 2026: A 13-member media delegation from Jammu and Kashmir, visiting Tamil Nadu and Puducherry as part of a five-day exposure tour organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Srinagar, called on the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Shri Kuniyil Kailashnathan, at Raj Nivas on Wednesday.o
During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor held discussions with the visiting journalists on the country’s development, the responsibilities of the media and good governance.
Recalling his long administrative experience of working with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure in Gujarat, Shri Kailashnathan described him as a “rare leader.” He said India was fortunate to have visionary leadership like that of Prime Minister Modi, whose tireless efforts and policies aimed at taking everyone along had enhanced the country’s stature globally.
The Lieutenant Governor urged the Kashmiri journalists to highlight positive developments and stories of progress and prosperity taking place across Jammu and Kashmir and the country through the media.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Shri Kailashnathan said he was recalling his experiences and memories of the Prime Minister on the occasion as the nation was celebrating his birthday.
The visiting journalists thanked the Lieutenant Governor for his gracious hospitality and encouraging interaction.
