Landslides Halt Traffic on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)

Srinagar, 20 April 2025:
Vehicular movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) has been suspended from both directions following multiple incidents of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones at several stretches of the highway. According to a traffic update issued at 4:00 AM, the situation has been exacerbated by continuous heavy rainfall across the region.

Authorities have advised commuters to refrain from travelling on NH-44 until the weather conditions improve and the road is declared safe for movement. The inclement weather poses a serious risk to traveler safety, prompting the closure to prevent any untoward incidents.
