J&K Logs Record 65 Daily Covid-19 Deaths, Toll 2847

4352 Fresh Cases Take Tally To 224898

Srinagar, May 11 : Jammu and Kashmir recorded its highest daily coronavirus death toll since the pandemic began as 65 persons succumbed to the virus in last 24 hours till 1700 hours on Tuesday, officials said.

Also, 4352 fresh covid-19 cases were reported during the time—1708 in Jammu division and 2644 in Kashmir Valley, taking the overall case tally to 224898.

Regarding the fatalities, the officials told that 41 deaths were reported from Jammu division and 24 from Kashmir Valley, taking the death toll to 2847.

Providing district wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 846 cases, Baramulla 361, Budgam 322, Pulwama 282, Kupwara 171, Anantnag 198, Bandipora 85, Ganderbal 52, Kulgam 269, Shopian 58, Jammu 602, Udhampur 156, Rajouri 208, Doda 81, Kathua 251, Samba 101, Kishtwar 52, Poonch 87, Ramban 67and Reasi 10.
A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory of GMC Anantnag and include two females (16, 45) from Chowgam, male (21) from Pul, male (38) from Safanagri, male (60) from New Colony Gagren, male (65) from Shopian, two males (07, 40) from Aadijan, male (25) from Batpora, male (36) from Imamsahib, female (28) from Pinjoora, male (30) from DPL Shopian, male (73) from Saidpora, male (45) from Sedow, male (55) from Hendew, two males (45, 29) from Kapran, male (23) from Bongam, three males (17, 19, 40) from Keller, male (26) from Chowan, female (33) from Kathahalan, female (30) and male (60) from Thearin, two males (25, 23) from Narapora, male (27) from Keller, male (18) from Ringward, female (28) from Achgoza, female (32) from Manduna Pul, male (39) and female (43) from Pul,
