Mohammad Yousaf and Umar Gul are likely to be appointed national team’s batting and bowling consultants respectively for the upcoming home series against the West Indies: Reports
Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousaf and ex-speedster Umar Gul are likely to be appointed national team’s batting and bowling consultants respectively for the upcoming home series against the West Indies, as reported by Samaa News.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not appointed any permanent head coach for the national team and the current team management led by Saqlain Mushtaq is likely to continue until the white-ball series against the men in maroon.
The top authorities of Pakistan are looking to acquire temporary assignment-based consultants after Matthew Hayden served as the batting consultant during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.
Meanwhile, bowling consultant Vernon Philander will leave the Pakistan camp after the ongoing first Test against Bangladesh at Chattogram.
After the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, the green shirts will start preparing for the home season against the West Indies and Australia.
