Semi-decomposed Body Found in Uri

Uri (Baramulla), Oct 29 (GNS): Police authorities on Friday said to have recovered a semi-decomposed human body along Hajipeer Nallah in Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A police official told GNS that a body was spotted by locals near Hajipeer Nallah, falling between Uri and Lagama town. “Soon after being informed, a joint team of police and medical authorities reached the spot to recover the body from the site”, the official said.

“The body is in a semi-decomposed state and couldn’t be immediately identified, the official said, adding it (body) is being taken to SDH Uri for DNA profiling.” (GNS)
