Shahid Saleem Dar Appointed as Deputy Commissioner Shopian

Srinagar, August 30: The Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed Shahid Saleem Dar as the new Deputy Commissioner of Shopian, effective immediately.

The appointment follows the transfer of Faz Lul Haseeb, IAS (AGMUT:2018), who was previously serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Shopian. Haseeb has now been posted as the Managing Director of J&K Tourism Development Corporation. This move relieves Mr. Vivekanand Rai, IRS, Director of Tourism Jammu, from the additional charge he was handling.

Shahid Saleem Dar, a JKAS officer, was previously the Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory, J&K, before being transferred to his new role as Deputy Commissioner of Shopian.
