NCP chief Sharad Pawar said on Tuesday that talks with like-minded parties are underway to depose the BJP from power in Goa in next month’s Assembly elections. According to Pawar, NCP leader Praful Patel and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut are meeting with local Congress leaders.
He stated that there is a widespread belief that the BJP should be defeated in the state, and that conversations with like-minded groups are now underway.
In Goa, we believe that parivartan (transformation) is required. He believes it is necessary to depose the BJP from power in the state. The NCP’s leader announced that his party will run in the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, and Goa. The BJP wants to run on communal lines in the polls, but I am certain that voters will reject this. (Shaharbeen Times Monitoring, Courtesy PTI)
