Tragic Incident Claims Tourist’s Life as Pine Tree Falls in Pahalgam
Srinagar, June 5: Shaharbeen Times: A tourist lost his life today in a tragic incident when he was struck by a falling pine tree while riding a horse in Pahalgam, located in the picturesque Anantnag district of south Kashmir.
Officials report that the tourist, identified as Janartham (67) and hailing from Tamil Nadu, was enjoying a horseback ride when the unfortunate accident occurred near Baisaran. The impact of the falling pine tree resulted in his immediate demise.
Efforts were made to retrieve the deceased tourist’s body from the incident site, and it currently rests in the mortuary at PHC Pahalgam, according to officials.
A police official has also confirmed the unfortunate demise of the tourist in this incident.
