Srinagar, Oct 30: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has terminated two government employees — Gh. Hussain from Reasi district and Majid Iqbal Dar from Rajouri district — for their involvement in terror-related activities and links, officials said on Thursday. In a statement, an official spokesperson said that Gh. Hussain, son of Ali Mohammad and resident of Kalwa Mulas, Tehsil Mahore, District Reasi, a teacher in the Education Department, was found to be in perpetual communication with LeT terrorist Mohammad Qasim of Angralla (a Government of India-designated individual terrorist) and LeT terrorist Gh. Mustafa of Chasana, on whose instructions he was to constitute an OGW network in Reasi to facilitate the activities of LeT.The spokesperson said that the accused had collected money as terror funds which, on the instructions of LeT terrorists based in Pakistan, he delivered to the families of known terrorists. Besides, he also distributed parcels to terrorist families that were sent from across the border. The spokesperson further stated that Majid Iqbal Dar, son of Mohammad Iqbal Dar and resident of Ward No. 1, near J&K Bank, Kheora, District Rajouri, a teacher in the Education Department, is an associate of the LeT. On the directions of a PoK-based terrorist handler of LeT, he collected an IED (a highly explosive device) and cash from the Dassal Forest, where the items had been concealed.Acting on the directions of the PoK-based handler, the accused received, transported, and planted the IED at Kheora near the J&K Bank branch in an attempt to cause maximum civilian casualties and spread terror among the local population. This was done to seek rewards from terrorists based in Pakistan in the form of narcotics and terror funds.
