SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience brief spells of rain and thundershowers at scattered to many places between September 14 and 17, particularly during the morning and afternoon hours, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast.
According to the latest weather update issued by the centre, generally dry conditions are expected across the Union Territory from September 18 to 25, although brief spells of rain may occur at a few places during the period.
The Meteorological Centre has also cautioned about the possibility of thunderstorms and gusty winds at some places between September 14 and 17.
The forecast indicates that the upcoming wet spell is expected to remain brief rather than develop into prolonged widespread rainfall. A weather update issued by the Meteorological Centre on Sunday had similarly forecast scattered to fairly widespread light rain and thunderstorms across Jammu and Kashmir during September 15-17.
