Rain showers are possible in most areas of Jammu and Kashmir. However, no continuous rainfall is expected.
Hailstorms, gusty winds and intense showers can occur in a few areas.
Saturday and Sunday ⚠️
Rain showers can occur in most areas of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. However, no continuous rainfall is expected.
Saturday night or early Sunday morning:
In most parts of Jammu region, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall. However, the districts of Poonch, Rajouri, and Reasi are likely to experience relatively lesser impact from the rainfall.
During this time, Kashmir region may also experience moderate to heavy rainfall. The chances of rainfall are highest in the southern parts of Kashmir, moderate in the central parts, and there is also some possibility of rainfall in the northern parts.
Note: Conditions can vary for Kashmir region. There is a 50% chance of it happening. For Jammu region, the chances are 80%.
● Cloudbursts, intense showers, flash floods can’t be ruled out. The likelihood of it is highest in Jammu region.
● Rise in the water level of streams and rivers is expected.
● Temperatures can stay 8 – 14 degrees Celsius lower than the usual norms.
● There is a potential for landslides or shooting stones to occur along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
