Chandigarh: (Shaharbeen Times): A 34-year-old female teacher has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually abusing a 14-year-old student. The incident took place in 2018 in Chandigarh Sector 31, Ram Darbar area.
As per the prosecution the boy, a Class X student, and his younger sister started taking tuition from the woman in September 2017. The matter to came to the knowledge of the parents when the grades of the victim were dropped and they checked the mobile of the victim.
The woman was sexually abusing the boy. The boy had been weak in education for some days. When her parents found out the truth, they turned to Childline Help and lodged a complaint with the police. Police arrested the woman and the case was pending in the local court. The court ruled in the case. The woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined Rs 10,000.
