On 7th of November a written complaint was lodged in Police Station Reasi by a girl (name withheld) of Karua Reasi that One Bharat Bhushan S/O Anu Kumar R/O Kreni Reasi fraudulently developed relationship with the complainant on promise of marriage and repeatedly raped her in the garb of promise of marriage.
After some time the girl came to know about the fraud & abuse that has been committed against her body and mind.
On this case FIR no. 216 US 376 IPC has been lodged in Police Station Reasi and investigations set in.
Police team swung into action after lodging FIR, medical examination of the victim was also conducted. Statement of the victim was recorded U/S 164 CrPC before judicial magistrate.
After getting the information of registration of Case FIR accused changed his phone and sim card and went underground.
Police remained on chasing the accused & finally after three weeks and working upon clues from human intelligence, the presence of accused was found in Jammu with disguised identity.
After zeroing the accused Sh Shailender Singh Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi constituted a special team headed by Sub Inspector rank officer and sent to Jammu to arrest the accused.
After hectic efforts and liaison with local police, making series of raids, finally arrested the accused criminal from Thandi Khui Baribrahmna Samba.
Mr Singh conveyed that further investigation into the case is going on and investigation will be concluded on merits on priority. Further appealed parents & girls should remain aware of such type of fraudsters who remain on the mission of spoiling the life of innocent girls on false promises of marriage.
