Rizwan, playing brilliant innings, played a big role in taking the team to the semi-finals, but before the semifinals, Rizwan's health had deteriorated and he was admitted to the hospital. Now Rizwan has told the story of the day when his health deteriorated. He has told that he was determined to recover before the semi-finals and show his strength in this match.

According to the reports, Rizwan had pain in the scene on the night of November 9. He was also having trouble breathing and had fever. His Kovid test was also done but it came negative. Rizwan was taken to the hospital and was also in the ICU. But coming back from all these, Rizwan played a brilliant innings of 67 runs in 52 balls which included three fours and four sixes.

Doctors were not giving complete information
Talking to reporters, Rizwan said, "I was not feeling well. I was going to the hospital and my family was at the hotel. I told him that I am going downstairs to the hotel for ECG. When we went to the hospital, I could not breathe. The doctors said that both my tubes have stopped. He was not telling me the whole thing. Then I asked the nurse what had happened, she said that if I had been late for 20 minutes, both my tubes would have burst. He was doing different tests."

He said, “I remember the words of the doctor. He had said that he wanted to see me play the semi-finals. But when he told me my position and said that it is not good then I told him that if something happens after the match then I will not be disappointed because I can do everything for Pakistan. This thing gave him encouragement and then he did everything that I could do to get better.

Great world cup
This World Cup of Rizwan was very spectacular. He was the third highest run-scorer in the World Cup. He scored 281 runs in six matches at an average of 70.25. It also included three half-centuries. His highest score was an unbeaten 79 which he made against Namibia. He also scored 67 runs in the semi-final against Australia but could not get the team to win.
